Athlon Optics: Chris takes Ares BTR Rifle Scope from 100 to 1,000 Yards! “The Scope Tracks Nicely”

Repost from Chris Phillips:

“I was able to get the Ares BTR 4.5-27X50 out today. Went from 100 out to 1000 yards. The scope tracked nicely. Did a box test too. Wasn’t my best day of shooting groups but the scope tracked within my ammo, and my shooting skills today. I screwed up and put my first dot at 1 MIL instead of 0.”

Athlon Optics Ares BTR 4.5-27×50 FFP Rifle Scope Field Test by James McAlester…SUCCESS!!

What a beauty! The new Ares BTR 4.5-27X50 out in the field being tested by James McAlester!

“Mounted the Ares BTR 4.5-27×50 FFP on my RPR chambered for 7/08 suppressed. Sighted in at 100 yds and took to the range to get load data on my hand loaded 160 gn Sierra tipped match kings. I have shot this load a lot but data was on a different scope that had higher mounts. Finishing up load data out to 700 yds and got into a group of hogs passing through. Was able to get 4 down with the Athlon Ares BTR 4.5-27×50 FFP scope. Didn’t have time to change elevations with the turrets as the hogs scattered. Had to compensate elevations with the reticle and it tracked correctly with reticle verses turret. Very impressed with this scope in its clarity and track ability!”

Athlon Optics: A Look through the reticle of the ARES BTR Rifle Scope

Post from Jadeprecision LLC:

Near dusk through the ALL NEW Ares BTR 4.5-27X50 FFP rifle scope. The barn is 996 yards away, magnification is about 10-12X here IIRC. The APLR3 reticle works well and the image stays bright in low light. Video to follow. JADE Precision, LLC.

Athlon Optics: Shelby Daniel & Talos 3-12X40 SFP Rifle Scope…A Satisfied Athlon Customer!

I would say Shelby Daniel is a Satisfied Athlon Customer:

“Athlon helped me break the top ten barrier today at the first K&M Precision Rifle Training Pistol/Carbine match (50 competitors).

I’m waiting on my Ares BTR 2.5-15×50 rifle scope to come in, but in the meantime Jason Goodman loaned me a Talos 3-12×40 rifle scope. I was absolutely blown away how well it performed for the price range. Targets ranged from 1moa and up out to 400 yards today.

A good side note: After zeroing and getting my data out to 400 on Wednesday, my dog knocked my gun off of a chair onto the hardwood floor from waist level last night before the match. We didn’t get to check zero, so I was worried going into the match. But my scope was dead on all day long.

Thanks Ozark Optics and thanks to Athlon for making such a solid product. I couldn’t have done it without you.”

Athlon Optics Testimonial: Kevin of Idaho on his Midas BTR 4.5-27X50 SFP Rifle Scope

Athlon Testimonial from Kevin of Idaho on his Midas BTR 4.5-27X50

Subject: Cleaning the sap off of my Midas Rifle Scope

Message: I was wondering what your recommendation is for cleaning sap off the lenses on my scope. I just bought my scope last fall and got into some thick brush and literally had to crawl though it. Unfortunately, I managed to get some drops of sap on the lenses. So bummed! By the way, I love this scope! Everyone that has looked through it is impressed as am I! Going to can the vortex on my .308 and buy an Athlon for it. Great product!
