“Finally got the chance to mount and zero my Athlon Optics Helos BTR rifle scope. It’s a FFP 6-24×50 Power Illuminated MIL reticle with zero stop, basically every feature that I’ve wanted in a $2,000 scope for less than a third the price.
My Steyr SSG loved it, putting five 168 grain pills in a 3/4″ group. Had I stuck with 3 shots vs 5 I would have had a one hole group at 100yds. Damn flier always happens on the 5th shot, but I’ll take it. By end of the session I was putting the rounds on 1 centimeter targets.
The scope’s glass is very clear, the reticle is easy to read and not too busy. I’ll definitely be buying another for the other SSG. Well worth the money in my opinion.”
