The Helos BTR 1-4.5×24 rifle scope family is specially designed for service rifle matches and AR platforms with short and mid range applications in mind. The scope is loaded with robust turrets that have 23 MOA travel-per-rotation, true zero stop and revolution locking feature, and fully multi-coated lenses. The revolution locking feature limits the Up Adjustment of your elevation turret within one revolution from your zero position, while still providing total 23 MOA adjustment that is more than enough for your target at 600 yard. This feature eliminates any second-guessing you might have on which turn you are at on your elevation turret. The ATSR3 reticle is specially designed for the service rifle matches with the center circle at right size that fits most of your targets and the center dot for precision and horizontal line for wind hold over.

I have been shooting one of these scopes on a NRA/CMP Highpower Service Rifle for a short time and I am impressed. The features on this scope are way above its price point. The 1/4 moa clicks are positive and repeatable and I can click corrections accurately. The numbers on the turrets are big enough for my old eyes. Adjustable parallax allows me to dry fire indoors and I have had it on a .22 upper for 50' smallbore. The reticle is a real winner for me. The 1/2 MOA dot allows me to favor inside the X ring if needed. The circle "aperture" is usable particularly in offhand. I like the small stadia inside the ring for making sure I am not canting the rifle. I have this on my back rifle now and my primary rifle has a March on it. This scope at this price point is a real winner. It blows my Vortex Viper PST out of the water with 1/4 MOA clicks and parallax adjustment.

i have used this scope at the recent Talladega match held March 23-24.
the scope track well, glass is crisp and clicks are solid,
if the inner circle was just 8 moa it would work better in my opinion, 12 moa is just too big, the 1/2 moa dot works for me really well at 200 and 300 but not at 600, it gets lost.

I've used this scope on my service rifle for about a year now and I think its great The team I am on has pretty much all switched over or is planning on doing so in the future. Clicks are solid and firm. I have not had any issues with it holding its zero. At 600 yds the center dot does get lost but the horizontal ticks and one vertical tick are just right in judging the center at this range. My biggest complaint would be color. The red illumination gets lost in daylight and effectively end up shooting black on black. At maximum brightness there is only a VERY SLIGHT change in shade. If at all possible I would recommend manufacturers to change the color to green or have a switch that can change between red or green for user preference.

I have this scope on my Long Range Service rifle. I love all the features (parallax adjustment 1/4 moa clicks) but there are two issues that keep it from being exceptional. The ring needs to be smaller 12 MOA is way to big, it needs to be 8MOA as previously suggest so that there is just a small line of white around the target black. This would simulate the iron sights used on mine and most other palma and Any rifles. Also the red illumination the small dot gets lost and with the 12MOA ring it makes aiming rather difficult back at the 1000yd line. If you used Green instead I feel it would be vissable. Also as far as all the little hash marks those are over kill in NRA shooting the shooters will hold over using the center dot, the extra hash marks aren't needed IMHO and just clutter it up. If you could fix/add that stuff then offer a retrofit I'd be on it in a heartbeat.

I’ve had this on my lead gun foe a month now, zeroing this scope to 200 yards was quick and easy. Set the elevation to the “2†mark, windage to zero. Love the reticle, the dot could be a full MOA but not a deal breaker. The circle is the correct size, reminds me of my old Redfield Palma sight. Will come back for another review after a few XTC matches.

After 9 months of use I would say the scope meets my needs, the only things I would change is the inner circle diameter from a 12 to a 10, and eliminate most to all hash marks on the vertical and horizontal lines, these are great for cant leveling. At least the hash marks eliminations. The 12 MOA inner diameter would help older shooter with their offhand wobble. The lighted reticle works on a dull grey day, no need to light up on a bright day. Change the knob to low power or high power eliminate all the in between. I dial it to #1 or #10. One last item, I would stiffen the eye piece focus a bit, to easy to turn .
I give it a 5 for all the features and price point.

I am US Distinguished Rifleman and I expected scores with this scope as good as or better than from iron sights but the scope’s reticle, which mimics an aperture match rifle sight , does not support recognition of s consistent sight picture and thus my scores are not on par to iron sight scores. Offer a post reticle and that will fix the problem.
