So after having the Cronus 20-60x86 spotting scope baking in my truck in south eastern Arizona for over a month now while rolling around on the floor, I pulled it out and put it to the test again. This is a video taken with my I-phone thru the spotting scope of me shooting a 2 liter soda bottle at 1 mile (1760 yards). The actual video on my phone is amazingly clear. I shot two soda bottles at a mile today using the Cronus 4.5-29x56 MOA scope, which also is top of the line.
I have a night force Atacr and the Cronus is every bit as good as my night force and it comes with a way better price. I'm a dealer for Athlon and have been putting their products thru hell the last 5 months and I could not be any happier. I highly recommend Athlon products to anyone for any application.

I recently used the Cronus 20-60x86 ED in the 2018 1,000 Yard World Open and was very impressed with everything about the scope. When the sun wasn't directly on the targets I could see bullet holes at 1,000 yards. This scope checks all the boxes for any serious hunter or competition shooter.

I traded in a newer model Vortex Razor Spotter after using the Cronus. The glass is soooooo much better, American company and lifetime warranty, I'm very happy with my decision.

RE: Wayne Aaland: How did you go about trading in your Vortex scope? I purchased a 5-20x50, 34mm Vortex HD Razor scope after reading many, many positive reviews. I then became associated with a veteran-owned company that builds guns and is an Athlon dealer. They swear the Athlon Cronus scope way outperforms the Vortex. Unfortunately, I've discarded the box and can't send the Vortex back for return. I'm in the same boat with the Vortex Razor spotting scope I bought.

Purchased the 20-60X86 Cronus to replace a competitor's lower priced model. Prior to making my purchase decision, I have had a chance to use a friend's, identical model to this one, as well as a number of other competitors scopes over several months. The Cronus has outstanding clarity and build quality. The focus and zoom controls are smooth and precise. The scope weighs in a little over four pounds, an indication of the build quality. The finish is impeccable, looks durable and should hold up well over time. Overall, this spotter is excellent quality and represents an outstanding value.
