Power on the thermal monocular and turn on the monocular WiFi through main menu.
Connect the thermal monocular to your mobile device using this WiFi connection.
Open the Athlon Thermal mobile APP and click “About Device” in the upper right corner.
Make sure the mobile device has cellular data connection and then tap “Check for updates” button.
If there is new firmware available, the latest version firmware will appear on the screen. Tap the “Update” button to download the latest firmware onto the mobile phone. The Downloading progress bar will appear. Once the progress bar reaches 100% move to the next step.
The screen of the monocular will show updating progress bar. When the progress bar shows 100% complete, power off and power on the monocular to start enjoying the new firmware.
Below warning messages will be displayed if the thermal device has insufficient power, internal memory, or failed receiving and updating the firmware.

When click “Check for updates” button, it should pop out an error message showing “Please check the internet!”.
Don’t close the App but switch to the mobile WiFi setting window and switch to the WiFi that connected to the internet, then switch the window back to the Athlon Thermal App and click “Check for updates”.
