From 3gun competition, tactical applications, or close range hunting, the new Cronus BTR GEN2 1-6×24 UHD is just what the doctor ordered. Rated as one of the best LPVO (Low Power Variable Optic) scopes, the ATSR2 SFP IR MOA reticle is specifically designed for 3 gun competition and tactical applications. With hold over points for both bullet drop and wind compensation, the ATSR2 reticle is designed for 68 and 69 grain BTHP 223 Rem/5.56mm NATO rounds. It is also suitable for many other bullet weights in these calibers. The 1.4 moa red dot is perfect for zeroing your rifle scope at 200 yards and the open centers below the center red dot are for targets at 300, 400, 500, and 600 yard. The unique design of open centers eliminates target obstruction with 12~18 inch targets beyond 200 yards, allowing a shooter to take a quick shot. The openings on horizontal lines below the center are specially designed for holding over 5 mph and 10 mph wind.

A fantastic upper tier LPVO that is worthy for any competition, duty/personal protection, or hunting needs.
Build quality is outstanding. I wouldn't call it heavy, but it is hefty and feels robust.
It really shines with glass quality. Crystal clear glass. The only time I was able to detect slight chromatic aberration was at 6x staring at branches against a sunny sky, which is remarkable.
Adjustments are all tactile and audible.
Reticle is not busy or distracting. Easy to understand and use. Red dot brightness is really good. Not exactly sunlight-bright, but definitely daylight bright. Battery cap has the alternating levels of Off/Brightness, so you can quickly turn it on and get to your previous brightness setting.
Basically has all the features, specs, and performance - everything you've come to expect from a premier optic, and Athlon certainly delivered.
Only con - I just wish it came with scope caps and a throw lever to complete the package. All good. It's a industry recognized optic and the accessories are provided by aftermarket options. This optic should definitely be on your short list, and I really think highly of it for the value and because Athlon stands behind their products.

A very nice scope that competes with the top tier names costing twice as much.
Turrets are tactile, audible, and tight. Battery life is decent, brightness is totally daylight usable, and in periods of lower light, quite bright. Glass quality is superb in all conditions, and at all levels of zoom. Eye relief/eyebox is generous at 1x-2x, tightens up as expected, but is really easy to pick up and get centered.
No manufacturing defects, nice matte anodizing, feels well built and put together. Came with a manual, wish it came with a throw lever and scope caps, but there is good aftermarket support for this scope.
A quality LPVO with a simple reticle, perfect for 3 Gun, hunting, citizen defense, LE use.
