Comes with very nice riflescope caps and carry bag. About a half inch pull out sunshade and nice turn out eye relieve cap.
Crystal clear glass, very good light gathering. Smooth zoom and focus adjustment.
I would give it 4.5 star review only because the eye relief at 37.5-45 is very sensitive. Great visual still obtainable at that zoom power.

Outstanding glass in this spotter with a price point you simply can not beat as an average everyday hunter!! The swivel feature on this spotter is second to none when it comes to glassing any terrain, if you're a serious outdoors man you have got to check into these optics!!

I am really pleased with this scope. I have a Nikon 20x60 by 80mm that I paid around the same price for a couple years ago. I can not see clearly with it past 40 power and it is cheaply made. So I did research and found this scope in my 500.00 price range. This Ares is well made and feels well made. I can see pretty clearly all the way to 45 power. The caps are secured to the scope which is great (i lost one of the Nikon ones and have been using a baggy). It's smaller than my Nikon which I like. The only thing that I would like more of is the sun shad, it only comes out about a 1/2 inch. I really feel like I got my money's worth on this scope and it feels like it will last forever.

I am very happy with this glass. I was looking at getting the vortex razor but took a chance on this. I am glad I did! I love this scope. It is every bit as clear as the razor if not more. Preforms really well in low light.

Well I was finally able to put the Ares rifle scope to a field test and a comparison against vortex diamondback and viper HD. Though lower magnification and objective size the Ares IMO blew the diamondback out of the water and was better than the viper too at comparable zooms. Low light max zoom was the one low light of the Ares at near dark and 45 power you can notice it does get darker right around 35x which I presume is from the smaller objective. From 15 to 35x at lowlight I was able to get crisp photos and good color. Personally I see this scope as a cheaper version of the old vortex razor. Not being able to compare it directly makes it hard to tell but having compared the razor to the viper I would say the two are quite similar. the large eyeglass is nice for looking through but is a tight fit for my Carson phone adapter. So far I am pleased with the Athlon on its first badlands hunt.

Wow, what a product. I'd heard a lot of hype about the spotting scope but was still pleasantly surprised. Great clarity, light gathering to glass through the end of shooting light, wide field of view, and good, fast focus. It's everything you could want in a robust package. I can't believe it beats competitors I've used in an overall package that is significantly smaller and more packable. Well made and well done, Athlon.
