Model Selection:

The Ares family of spotting scopes were designed with advanced optical quality and ease of use on top of mind, so when you are trying to collect that trophy of a lifetime, your spotting scope is one thing you don’t have to worry about. We made that task as easy as optically possible with bright, razor-sharp imagery and a rugged, weatherproof design that’s ready for any condition. They have ED glass lenses for color resolution and contrast. They also have our AFMC (Advance Fully Multi-Coatings) and feature BaK4 prisms with the new ESP Dielectric Coating. They bring super-premium clarity and brightness within the reach of most avid enthusiasts. The tough chassis is fog proof and waterproof and filled with Argon gas to prevent internal fogging and for better thermal stability. The lens are then treated externally with our XPL coating to withstand dirt, oil and grime of constant use as well as standing up to harshest weather conditions. Choose from three different models – each distinctly different in size so you have a scope tailor-made for your specific activity

ED Glass ED glass gives you an image with little or no chromatic fringe so the final result brings an ultimate clearest and sharpest image to your eyes
ESP Dielectric Coating ESP Dielectric Coating is a multi layer prism coating that reflects over 99% of the light to your eyes bringing you a clear, bright image that displays accurate color reproduction.
Aluminum Central  Chassis Aluminum  Central chassis offers you the  strength of a metal chassis and the life time  durability.
XPL Coating XPL Coating gives you an extra protection on the exterior lenses from dirt, oil and scratches
Bak4 Prism Bak-4 glass prisms reflect more light to your eyes thus  will give you brighter and sharper image.
Advanced Fully Multi-Coated Advanced Fully Multi-Coated lenses bring you better light transmission  to bring optimum brightness and true color across the entire light spectrum.
Argon Purged Argon Purging uses the inertia gas with bigger size molecules to purge any moisture out of  the tube giving you better waterproofing and thermal stability .
Waterproof Waterproof to protect the binocular in the harshest weather conditions or if accidently submerged underwater
Rotating Ring Rotating Ring allows you to rotate the scope around tripod supporting ring into the most comfortable and convenient angle for observation

    Excellent packaging and presentation.

Strong and durable fit and finish.

Comes with very nice riflescope caps and carry bag. About a half inch pull out sunshade and nice turn out eye relieve cap.

Crystal clear glass, very good light gathering. Smooth zoom and focus adjustment.

I would give it 4.5 star review only because the eye relief at 37.5-45 is very sensitive. Great visual still obtainable at that zoom power.

Outstanding glass in this spotter with a price point you simply can not beat as an average everyday hunter!! The swivel feature on this spotter is second to none when it comes to glassing any terrain, if you’re a serious outdoors man you have got to check into these optics!!

I am really pleased with this scope. I have a Nikon 20×60 by 80mm that I paid around the same price for a couple years ago. I can not see clearly with it past 40 power and it is cheaply made. So I did research and found this scope in my 500.00 price range. This Ares is well made and feels well made. I can see pretty clearly all the way to 45 power. The caps are secured to the scope which is great (i lost one of the Nikon ones and have been using a baggy). It’s smaller than my Nikon which I like. The only thing that I would like more of is the sun shad, it only comes out about a 1/2 inch. I really feel like I got my money’s worth on this scope and it feels like it will last forever.

I am very happy with this glass. I was looking at getting the vortex razor but took a chance on this. I am glad I did! I love this scope. It is every bit as clear as the razor if not more. Preforms really well in low light.

Well I was finally able to put the Ares rifle scope to a field test and a comparison against vortex diamondback and viper HD. Though lower magnification and objective size the Ares IMO blew the diamondback out of the water and was better than the viper too at comparable zooms. Low light max zoom was the one low light of the Ares at near dark and 45 power you can notice it does get darker right around 35x which I presume is from the smaller objective. From 15 to 35x at lowlight I was able to get crisp photos and good color. Personally I see this scope as a cheaper version of the old vortex razor. Not being able to compare it directly makes it hard to tell but having compared the razor to the viper I would say the two are quite similar. the large eyeglass is nice for looking through but is a tight fit for my Carson phone adapter. So far I am pleased with the Athlon on its first badlands hunt.
